Saw - File - Solder
In this course, we will look at the three fundamental steps of jewellery making which include saw, file and solder. Stelios will help guide and correct you by showing you how to accomplish each skill in a steady and focused manner to absorb every basic knowledge. You will learn how to make intricate pieces with your saw, create efficient and smooth file strokes using various files and understand the perfect solder. Even the most complicated tasks is a compilation of basic skills performed with the precision and accuracy of these three skills. 🌶️

Grain setting / Flush setting
The beauty of granule setting captures eye catching gemstones, flush with the surface of the metal. There are various ways to create granule settings around your gems and construct them to fit with your jewellery style. We will dive deep into the intricate settings by creating the right dimensions using metal, gems, drill bits and ball burrs. We will work with gravers to create the perfect accommodation for your gems and learn how to secure them with granules. In this course, I will also cover the skill of flush setting. A wonderful skill for every jeweller to decorate their pieces with flashes of light and colour to their work.

With this course, we will build from scratch the perfect accommodation for a gem, cut of your choice and will learn how to expose the beauty of a faceted gem in a secure and mechanical way. This technique can be used in two different ways; for beginners skills or with an advanced way, for jewellers with good solder skills. An amazing knowledge to elevate your pieces without limits.

Wax & Gems
In this course, you will discover and be introduced to the principles of stone setting in wax. There are several ways to create settings for your wax pieces using specific techniques. You will learn how to embed your stones into wax for the casting process, experiment with different types of mounts to set stones in wax and learn how to create intricate settings in wax such as claw settings.
